Private Pilots Licence (PPL) Preparation
Get a Head Start on Your PPL From Real Pilots
Are you thinking about taking your Private Pilots Licence?
Part way through your course but need some additional tuition?
Want to go "solo" in record time?
WE CAN HELP
Whichever way you look at it, flight training is expensive. With the basic PPL course now costing most people at least £10,000 to £13,000 to complete, it makes sense to get prepared so you can reduce these costs as much as possible.
We operate a unique flight simulator at VFE. Our Garmin G1000 equipped Piper PA-34 Seneca simulator is a real aircraft, registration G-BMDK, making it the most realistic training simulator you could imagine. It is significantly more advanced and complex than the aircraft used for basic flight training, which makes it the ideal simulator to give you a huge head start. Put simply, if you can fly our Piper Seneca then flying the aircraft you will operate during your PPL training will be a breeze!
All of the flight controls, switches and throttle levers are real and exactly as they were when "Delta Kilo" was flying, so operating our simulator is as close to the real thing as you can get.
Most simulators operate a visual display that only shows the pilot a forward facing view, and perhaps partly to the sides. When learning to fly, "looking out" is critical, so the reduced visibility offered by most simulators does not make for the best training experience. Our Seneca sim features an almost 340 wrap around visual display which means the the pilot can literally look over his/her shoulder. This makes circuit and visual flight training possible.
Due to the absence of any physical risk when flying our Seneca simulator, we can push the student much further and therefore teach you much faster than you could ever achieve in a "real" aircraft. A few hours with us could help you shave potentially thousands of pounds from your flight training costs.
Our instructors are all experienced real world pilots, who cannot wait to pass on their years of experience to you.
You do not need any previous experience to enrol on our PPL preparation programme, it is designed for complete novices as well as current PPL students looking to consolidate and supercharge their learning.

Steve owned his own PA28 for a number of years and has almost 20 years of experience flying Piper aircraft. He also has a significant amount of instructional hours in our Piper Seneca simulator under his belt.
